New Work :: Christ lag in Todesbanden (2016)
As the new director of music at the First Presbyterian Church in Charleston, Illinois, Craig completed his first cantata for the upcoming Easter season. "Christ lag in Todesbanden," is a text from Martin Luther's hymn, "Christ Jesus lay in Death's strong bands." While the original concept was a hymn written by Luther, Craig, like others such as Bach and Pachabel, has taken each verse to provide a musical experience in eight movements. The work is for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass Soloists with Chorus and a chamber ensemble (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, piano/organ, violin, viola, and cello).
My Life as a Sonata: A Passion Recapitulated (2016)
The recent return to my studies in music has inspired me to record a new album of vocal music that features the music I sang over two decades ago. The album, "My Life as a Sonata: A Passion Recapitulated" * is a celebration of my return to my studies in music at Eastern Illinois University (where I teach geography and broadcast meteorology). The album also features my talented and inspiring dear friend, Bart Rettberg, at the piano.

TCPFilms is venturing down another path of the arts. This time it is in creating the arts. Longtime composer, Cameron Craig and two students began working on a new ballet production following the Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon event this last September 2015. The production is currently in the writing stage but the EIU team is pumped about its newest creation. Read more about the ballet and the team members working on it.
